Established in 1966 (formerly known as Electric
& Musical Industries (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.),
EMI Music is the oldest international recording
company in Malaysia.
As an industry leader, EMI Music represents repertoires ranging from International,
Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese to Hindi music genres.
EMI Music Malaysia proudly holds the largest
repertoire of domestic music catalogue and talents,
including legends like the late Tan Sri P. Ramlee,
Saloma, Datin Rafeah Buang, Ahmad Jais, Datuk
Sharifah Aini, Sanisah Huri, DJ Dave, Uji Rashid,
Sudirman, Fauziah Latiff, KRU, Ella, Butterfingers,
Amuk, Rahmat as well as newer artists like Vince,
ROB, Junio Hustle, Camelia and Mael.
In 1998, EMI acquired independent label Positive
Tone, which included urban acts like Innuendo,
Too Phat, Ferhad, Poetic Ammo, OAG, Ruffedge and
V.E.
Today we have expanded our repertoire to distribute
popular Indonesian acts that include Dewa 19,
Radja, Ada Band, Andra & The Backbone, Galagasi
and Element, with more to come.
